Why Colorado Fall Family Photos Are Worth the Drive

If you don’t live right here in Colorado Springs, you might be wondering, “Is it really worth the time to drive out there? I mean, we’ve got trees where we live too.” I hear you. But yes, I truly do believe that Colorado fall family photos are worth the drive. Here are just three reasons why:

1. The Aspen Colors Truly Are Worth Seeing

The mountain fall foliage really is something everyone should experience at least once. It’s hard to describe unless you’ve seen it. Not even photos can truly do those colors justice. There’s something magical about arriving in a place surrounded by autumn gold, and if you have kids, they’re going to want to explore immediately! It’s more than a photo-shoot, it’s an adventure.

2. Colorado is a Place to Make Memories

Your fall family photos won’t take all day. But if you ask me, that makes it more worthwhile to travel out here, not less, because then you can spend the rest of your day (or weekend!?) exploring the area for a memorable family experience. Woodland Park, for example, is just about an hour from Colorado Springs, and it’s such a fun town to grab a meal, shop around, and yes…take pictures! So take your time and soak up the adventure and beauty while you’re here.

3. You Know You Need a Chance to Show Off That New Sweater

Is there anything cozier than fall outfits? I don’t think so. And fall clothes just photograph beautifully. They’re even prettier against Colorado’s mountain scenery, which naturally lends itself to warm neutrals and all of our favorite autumn-inspired tones like mustard, cream, brown, olive, and burgundy. You and your sweater will never look better than in colorful Colorado!
