Colorado is FULL of beautiful locations to capture your family’s most precious moments. I honestly had a hard time narrowing it down, but these are my top three recommendations for outdoor maternity shoots in Colorado:
1. Ute Valley Park
This west-side location has a large open field with mountains in the background (the perfect backdrop for the beautiful mama-to-be). A bonus perk is easy parking, which means much less walking – always a plus for maternity shoots (if you know you know). Plus these great views are beautiful in every season, so this spot is a perfect pick year-round.
2. Garden of the Gods
This is one of the most well-known areas in the state (especially near Colorado Springs) and my most requested photoshoot location. Garden of the Gods offers a lot of variety and options for the background. The downside to this beautiful location is a moderate amount of walking or hiking required, and it can be a bit crowded at times. But it is so pretty and unique that many families find it totally worth it – especially if you’re out-of-towners!
3. Black Forest
Black Forest is another highly requested spot – and one of my personal favorites! There are tons of tall trees which make a beautiful backdrop covered in snow, so it’s perfect for a winter photoshoot. It even has some great spots that provide protection from any wind or harsh sunlight, a total perk when trying to capture the perfect shot.
