That’s why, in addition to a traditional studio setting, I also offer the option of naturally styled newborn photos in the comfort of your own home.
What Does an At Home Newborn Photography Session Entail?
Essentially, I bring my studio to you for the ultimate stress-free newborn photo experience! I have been doing this for years, so it only takes me about fifteen minutes to set up so we can create beautiful baby pictures with minimal disruption to your normal routine. Not surprisingly, many new moms love this option. The benefits of convenience and comfort are perfect for that time of adjustment right after you bring your new little bundle home.
Here’s how it works:
Set Up
I bring along everything we’ll need for a successful newborn photoshoot, including my super soft wrap setups, outfits, and accessories. And of course, you don’t have to worry about packing bottles and diapers, because you’ll have everything you might need ready to hand!
Newborn Photos
After I set up (which takes only a few minutes), I’ll start with posed photos of baby only. You can just sit back and relax during this portion of our time together, knowing that your baby is in good hands. I like to get a mixture of posed images and lifestyle images, so you have the best of both worlds! (Posed images require training on the part of the photographer to keep baby safe and comfortable, and are perfect for capturing details like tiny toes and dimples. Lifestyle images are more naturally styled, such as baby asleep in his/her crib.)
Family Photos
Next, we’ll move on to newborn photos with the whole family. Parents and siblings are welcome and encouraged to be part of the newborn photoshoot. We’ll usually do these photos either in the nursery or the master bedroom, for an intimate and relaxed feel. These photos are always some of my favorites, as I’m privileged to document the love and tender moments between your family members.
Your Forever Memories
By the end of your session, you will have a variety of gorgeous newborn photos to choose from. Once I’ve edited them, you’ll be able to choose your favorites so you can design your baby album and select prints for gifts and wall art.
