This was a beautiful maternity session from start to finish! This lovely couple wanted to do an outdoor maternity photoshoot and I knew the perfect spot. We decided to visit Blodgett Peak, one of my favorite Colorado Spring photography locations, for some beautiful mountain views and wooded backdrops. I love Blodgett Peak all year-round, but it’s especially nice in winter and early spring. Due to the amount of shade on the mountain, snows sticks around here for quite a while longer than in most other locations. So even though the weather was starting to warm up elsewhere, we were still able to get a winter feel for these maternity photos, complete with snow on the ground!
I loved this couple’s outfit choices! Their clothes and the color scheme worked out perfectly with the background of our scenery. I always recommend choosing something that will help you stand out against an outdoor background, but that won’t clash with your surroundings. The muted tones they picked looked great and were complementary without blending in.
This couple also brought their dog along for some photos so we could do a few pet portraits at the beginning of their shoot. So much fun! I am always happy to include other members of the family in your maternity photoshoot, whether that’s your partner, kiddos, or pets! We got the cutest pet photos, and I have a feeling this sweet doggy is going to be best friends with the little one when baby arrives!
