Lifestyle Newborn Photos in the Studio
I’m so happy we were able to squeeze in this family’s newborn photos before they move out of state! Since they were in the process of moving (moving and having a baby all at the same time–talk about superstars!) their house didn’t feel like the best location for newborn pictures. So we opted to do studio newborn photos in Colorado Springs instead. We still wanted a comfy, home-like feel though, and I knew the perfect place! My favorite natural light studio is located just north of downtown Colorado Springs. I’ve done several photography sessions there and I love it! It’s perfect for families who don’t want to hold a session in their home, but still want their photos to feel natural and cozy.
Perfect Timing
Despite all the craziness that comes along with moving, this family managed to time their newborn pictures perfectly. Baby boy was right around one week old, which I find is the best time to capture memories of your sweet bundle. (I recommend between 4 and 14 days old.) It took him a while to settle down, but once he was fed and comfortable he slept through the whole thing!
Mom and Dad dressed in the perfect neutral colors to go along with both the studio’s tan backdrop and the colors I provided for the baby. My olive green wrap is a favorite for boys (and girls!) but they also liked the white, so we did both. I love how our images turned out, and wish this family all the best in their new adventures–both in parenthood and in their new home!
