I adore doing photos for this family! They always show up looking amazing with the best coordinated outfits, certainly making my job easy. I was drawn to this pathway covered in golden leaves that really made these fall family photos stand out. The pastel green grass was still vibrant and complimented everything perfectly. Toddlers and younger kids keep me on my toes when I’m shooting, but these girls are just too cute and their parents always help the session flow nicely, which allows me to capture a great combination of posed and candid photos for the gallery. We chose Rock Ledge Ranch for this family session because it’s absolutely stunning in the fall. This location has a great mixture of greenery, different types of trees for each season, rustic buildings, farm animals, and so much more. I love that I’m able to utilize this location in a way that stays consistent with my bright and natural style, because the lighting is always great. There are even views of Garden of the Gods, since it is located directly behind the park. I like to schedule my sessions here for about 1.5-2 hours before sunset, as it tends to get dark more quickly than other ares of town, and we don’t want a lot of dark shadows.
