Beautiful and Natural Newborn Photography in Colorado Springs

This beautiful family contacted me for newborn photos. My calendar was pretty full, but I’m so happy I was able to squeeze them in! I wanted to share this session with you all because it’s a great example of beautiful and natural newborn photography in a studio rather than at home.

I do most of my newborn sessions in my client’s homes, and I love the lifestyle look! But in some cases, it may not be practical to have an at-home session. That was the case with this family, who loved my natural style of unposed newborn photography, but weren’t able to do the session in their home.

Not a problem at all! I booked a local natural light studio, Kindle, and we had an amazing session together!

Beautiful and Natural Newborn Photography in Studio

The Kindle studio is a gorgeous space for lifestyle newborn photography in Colorado Springs, and I was still able to give this family my signature style and beautiful images that resembled the kind we would get in an in-home setting.

While I love doing home sessions, there can definitely be advantages to a studio setting. When I’m photographing newborns and families, I’m always thinking about how I can get beautiful natural light on their faces while still having some shadow and contrast in the background. Depending on the home, it can be tricky to balance the bright, natural light from the windows with the dimmer indoor lighting. But the large windows in the studio make it effortless to achieve amazingly lit images every time! That gorgeous light is really a dream come true for newborn sessions.

Another great thing about a studio newborn session is that I can get really creative with different types of backgrounds, lighting, and mood. If you prefer a more polished look for your newborn photos, a studio can provide the perfect aesthetic.

I’m so happy with the way these images turned out, and delighted that I was able to capture such precious memories for this family!
